Online marketing is a long term plan - plant the seed. Image is of seedlings at different rates of growth

Online Marketing which includes Facebook posts, Instagram posts, reels, blogging, emails, and GMB can give you instant results and sales but more often, this is a long-term plan. You have to plant the seeds today and hopefully, you will see the results in a couple of weeks or maybe month’s time.

So please don’t give up, if after 1 or 2 social media posts you don’t appear to be making any progress or haven’t made any instant sales.

Quite often when I work with someone they say they have been following me for months or even years before the time is right to work together. You don’t know who is lurking on the sidelines watching but not ready to engage with you yet.

Often your audience may not even know they have a problem because they have been living with it for a while. It may take someone pointing it out to them or reading or watching multiple types of content to realise actually “I do have a problem but I don’t have to live with it” before they start seeking out a solution.

So bear this in mind when you are creating any type of content or engaging on social media.  A thoughtful comment you make today on a social media post may impact a reader and turn into a client 6-12 months’ down the line.

For example, I’m sure you have been doing tasks in your business a certain way because you don’t know any other way. Then someone shows you what they do and you think “well flipping heck, why I have been doing it in such a complicated way before!”

I think the saying is “you don’t know what you don’t know”

Think back to the time before you knew your “thing” and the benefits it can offer. What problems were you suffering with? What questions were you asking then? Maybe your ideal client is suffering from those problems and asking those questions too.

You can be the one providing the solutions to their answers. In the shape of content ie posts, videos, blogs, audio, resources, etc.

If you are a version of your ideal audience, which we often are in business. It’s easy to forget how far we’ve come sometimes when we have solved our problems or at least made a start to resolve them.   However, these steps could make a world of difference to your ideal client.

So what seeds are you planting today? I’d love to know, drop me an email and share it with me

Until next time
